A request desk, not a fleet

About Winelands Skips

We take skip requests for the Cape Winelands and put them in front of an operator who actually delivers in that town. We do not own the trucks and we do not pretend to.

By the Winelands Skips request desk · checked 19 October 2026 · written and fact-checked in house · every municipal fact is sourced on the guide page

What we do

We take your request — town, load, size, date — and pass it to a skip operator who services that address. The operator quotes you, drops the bin, collects it and tips it at the facility that serves your town.

What we do not do

We are not a waste contractor, a municipal service or a landfill operator. We do not collect household refuse on a municipal round, and we do not accept hazardous waste. Where a job needs a specialist — asbestos removal, for example — we will say so rather than quote for it.

Why a local desk

The Cape Winelands is five municipalities with different by-laws, different facilities and different distances. A national directory that lists "skip hire near you" cannot tell you that Robertson's transfer station refuses building waste or that Franschhoek's drop-off will not take your rubble. This site can, because it is built around those facts.

How an operator is chosen

By whether they deliver to your town, what sizes they run, and whether they can reach the address. If nobody can, we tell you.

Corrections

Where this site could not read a municipality's by-law, it says so instead of guessing. If you spot an error in a municipal fact, tell us and it will be corrected with the source.

Questions before you book

Short answers. Where the answer depends on the operator, the page says so instead of inventing a number.

  1. Are you the skip company?

No. We take the request and a local skip operator quotes and does the work.

  2. Which towns do you cover?

The Cape Winelands District. The towns page lists them by municipality.

The request

Request a bin for your address

The town and one line about the job — what you are clearing, the size, the date and any access constraint. The town decides which operator sees it, and the price comes back as a quote, not a guess.

  1. One form. No account, no card, no obligation.
  2. A local operator confirms the size, the hire period and the price.
  3. Nothing is dropped until you accept the quote.

The request desk is not the skip company: the operator who quotes you delivers and tips the bin. The footer of every page says the same thing.

The request slip

Five fields. Your town decides which operator sees it.
