8m³ Skip Hire in the Winelands

For a whole-house renovation, an estate or farm clean-up, or a project that produces waste faster than a 6m³ can take it.

What fits in a 8m³ skip

The 8m³ skip is bought by the job it finishes, not by the number on the side. Here is what it is normally used for and where it stops being the right choice.

  • A whole-house renovation's rubble and strip-out
  • A farm, vineyard or cellar clean-up
  • An estate or venue clear-out after a function season
  • A large garden or smallholding clear
  • A building site that would otherwise need two 6m³ bins

The weight question

Volume is what the bin holds; weight is what the truck may carry. Rubble, soil, tiles and concrete are heavy, and a load can be at its limit long before the bin looks full.

An 8m³ needs somewhere legal and reachable to stand, and a full one of rubble is a heavy load. Confirm both before the truck is sent: a narrow historic street in Stellenbosch or Franschhoek is not the place for a bin nobody measured.

Typical Winelands jobs for this size

A wine estate's cellar clear-out before harvest

A Paarl house renovation from strip-out to finishes

A Wellington farm's seasonal clean-up

A guest farm's post-season clear-out

Booking it

Send the job, the town and the date. The operator confirms that a 8m³ bin can be delivered to your address, what it may carry, and what the hire period is, before anything is dropped.

For farms, say that it is a farm road when you send the request, so the operator sends a truck that can reach the yard.

When the 8m³ is the cheaper choice

An 8m³ costs more than a 6m³ and is often the cheaper booking. On a farm, an estate or a property far from the tip, two 6m³ collections cost more than one 8m³ and one collection — and the second delivery may not arrive when the job needs it.

The 8m³ is a mistake when there is nowhere for it to stand. It needs a clear, level place, a route for a loaded truck, and no low branches or overhead cables on the way in.

Before you book this size

Confirm three things with the operator: that the bin can be delivered to your address, what weight the quote allows, and what the hire period is. Every Winelands booking runs on those three plus the tip fee for the town.

The request

Request a bin for your address

The town and one line about the job — what you are clearing, the size, the date and any access constraint. The town decides which operator sees it, and the price comes back as a quote, not a guess.

  1. One form. No account, no card, no obligation.
  2. A local operator confirms the size, the hire period and the price.
  3. Nothing is dropped until you accept the quote.

The request desk is not the skip company: the operator who quotes you delivers and tips the bin. The footer of every page says the same thing.

The request slip

Five fields. Your town decides which operator sees it.
