Guest House & Venue Waste Removal in the Winelands
A guest house or a wedding venue cannot have a skip in the courtyard on a Saturday. That constraint, more than the volume of waste, is what shapes this booking.

Two kinds of work
The first is a renovation: a set of bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a terrace. It runs between seasons and it has to be finished and cleared before the next booking. The second is operations: the waste of a function season, a kitchen refit, old furniture and linen, and the accumulated clutter of a property that never quite closes.
Both need a bin, and both need it gone by a date that a guest has already paid for.
Working around the calendar
Skip deliveries and collections are weekday work in practice, and a venue's quiet days are not always the operator's. Agree the drop and the collection days in the same conversation, and put the function date in the request so the operator can see what cannot move.
A bin that arrives on a Friday and cannot be collected until Monday is a bin in the photographs. Say so at booking.
What goes in the bin
Old furniture, mattresses, crockery, kitchen equipment that is not being sold, building rubble from the renovation, garden waste from the grounds, and packaging. Linen and soft furnishings are general waste unless they are being donated.
Gas bottles and kitchen chemicals are not skip items. A commercial kitchen's cleaning chemicals and gas are hazardous and need their own route.
Pricing a venue job
Venue work is often sized by the renovation rather than the property: four bathrooms and a kitchen is not one bin. Ask for a size and a swap arrangement, and get the tip fee included in the quote so the invoice matches the number you approved.
Where it goes
The town page for the venue's town names the facility and the municipal rule. Franschhoek is the venue town of the district, and its drop-off takes garden waste and bulky items but not rubble — so a Franschhoek renovation has a longer rubble run than a Paarl one.
A venue’s booking calendar decides the plan
A guest house that closes for two weeks in winter has a two-week window for a renovation, and the skip has to arrive at the start of it and be gone at the end. That is a project plan before it is a skip booking: which rooms are stripped in which week, and when the bin is swapped.
Wedding season runs the other way. A venue's quiet Tuesday is not the operator's quiet Tuesday, and the two have to agree on the drop and collection days before anything arrives.
What a commercial kitchen adds
A kitchen refurbishment produces stainless steel units, extraction ducting, tiles and old appliances. Steel and ducting are worth separating because they are recyclable. Gas bottles, cleaning chemicals and grease-trap waste are not skip items at all.
The kitchen is also the part of the property with the least space to put a bin, so the standing place is usually agreed before the size.
The facilities a venue’s town uses
A Franschhoek venue's garden waste can go to the village drop-off, but its rubble cannot — it travels to Stellenbosch. A Paarl or Wellington venue tips through Drakenstein's facilities. A Robertson venue deals with a transfer station that refuses building waste. Each town page names the facility with its source.
Questions before you book
Short answers. Where the answer depends on the operator, the page says so instead of inventing a number.
Can the bin be collected on a Monday?
Ask at booking. Collection days depend on the operator's round; the point is to agree it before the bin is dropped.
Can the bin stand in a car park?
Only where it is legal and out of the way, and on a public road only with the municipality's written consent.
Can you take old kitchen equipment?
Yes, as general waste. Gas bottles and chemicals are excluded.
The request
Request a bin for your address
The town and one line about the job — what you are clearing, the size, the date and any access constraint. The town decides which operator sees it, and the price comes back as a quote, not a guess.
- One form. No account, no card, no obligation.
- A local operator confirms the size, the hire period and the price.
- Nothing is dropped until you accept the quote.
The request desk is not the skip company: the operator who quotes you delivers and tips the bin. The footer of every page says the same thing.
