Privacy Policy
This page explains what personal information this site collects, why it is collected, who sees it, and how to have it removed.
By the Winelands Skips request desk · checked 19 October 2026 · written and fact-checked in house · every municipal fact is sourced on the guide page
What we collect
When you send a quote request: your name, phone number, email address, the town or suburb of the property, and the details of the job you describe. When you visit the site: analytics data, but only after you accept analytics in the consent banner.
Why we collect it
To pass your request to a skip operator who can quote for the job, and for no other purpose. We do not sell contact details, and we do not use them for marketing you did not ask for.
Who sees it
The skip operator who services your town, so that they can contact you about this request. Our own staff and service providers who run the site and the lead system see it in the course of that work.
How long it is kept
For as long as it takes to answer the request and deal with any follow-up, and then in line with the retention period the business has adopted. If you ask for it to be deleted, it will be deleted unless a law requires it to be kept.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act you may ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. You may also object to processing and complain to the Information Regulator.
Contact details
Use the contact page to ask a privacy question. The request goes to the same desk and is dealt with by the person responsible for the site.
Who is responsible for your information
The business that runs this site is the responsible party for the information the form collects. It is not a municipal service and it is not the skip operator: the operator becomes responsible for your details once the request is passed to them for a quote, and for nothing else.
The operator may not use your details for any purpose other than answering this request. If an operator contacts you about anything else, tell us and the arrangement ends for that operator.
Complaints and changes
If you believe your information has been handled badly, raise it with us first through the contact page; most problems are a record that should not be there and can be corrected in a day. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator, whose details are published at inforegulator.org.za.
This policy is reviewed when the way the site handles information changes. The date at the foot of the page is the date it last changed; there is no version of it that collected more than it says here.
