4m³ Skip Hire in the Winelands
The middle size: a bathroom or kitchen strip-out, a garage clean-out, or a small flat's worth of waste.

What fits in a 4m³ skip
The 4m³ skip is bought by the job it finishes, not by the number on the side. Here is what it is normally used for and where it stops being the right choice.
- A bathroom strip-out: bath, basin, toilet, tiles
- A kitchen's cupboards, counter tops and appliances
- A garage or storeroom cleared completely
- A small flat or cottage's move-out
- A garden clear on a normal suburban plot
The weight question
Volume is what the bin holds; weight is what the truck may carry. Rubble, soil, tiles and concrete are heavy, and a load can be at its limit long before the bin looks full.
Two wet rooms stripped in the same week is where a 4m³ runs out. Rubble from a bathroom is heavy; if the whole house is being done, book the 6m³.
Typical Winelands jobs for this size
A Paarl bathroom renovation with the old suite and tiles
A Wellington garage cleared before a move
A Stellenbosch cottage's kitchen replacement
A Klapmuts smallholding's general clean-up
Booking it
Send the job, the town and the date. The operator confirms that a 4m³ bin can be delivered to your address, what it may carry, and what the hire period is, before anything is dropped.
Ask about the hire period when you book: a 4m³ is often kept for a few days rather than a few weeks.
How the 4m³ goes wrong
The 4m³ fails in one specific way: a bathroom's tiles and screed alone can reach its weight limit while the bin still has space above them. If the load is a wet room's floor and walls, ask for the weight allowance before you accept the quote.
The 4m³ succeeds when the load is mixed and light-to-medium — cupboard doors, an old kitchen, a garage's contents, a garden's prunings.
Before you book this size
Confirm three things with the operator: that the bin can be delivered to your address, what weight the quote allows, and what the hire period is. Every Winelands booking runs on those three plus the tip fee for the town.
The request
Request a bin for your address
The town and one line about the job — what you are clearing, the size, the date and any access constraint. The town decides which operator sees it, and the price comes back as a quote, not a guess.
- One form. No account, no card, no obligation.
- A local operator confirms the size, the hire period and the price.
- Nothing is dropped until you accept the quote.
The request desk is not the skip company: the operator who quotes you delivers and tips the bin. The footer of every page says the same thing.
